Teaching and assessment
for Business Economics with Marketing and Politics MA (Hons)
Teaching
Teaching is through a combination of:
- lectures
- tutorials
- workshops
- statistics sessions
We also offer an annual series of industry guest lectures which you are encouraged to attend.
Some politics modules will include specialised teaching such as trips, a simulation element (European Union politics), or working directly with a human rights advocacy organisation on their campaigning work as part of the curriculum.
You can find out more from individual module descriptions.
Assessment
Assessments can be in the form of:
- essays
- problem-based exercises
- case studies
- presentations
- group projects
- exams
All of these will provide the basis for your final grade. Generally, modules will involve a mixture of assessment techniques in order to achieve an all-round picture of your abilities and to give you a chance to shine in the type of test that suits you best.
