Teaching

You will be taught through a combination of:

  • tutorials
  • lectures
  • seminars
  • workshops
  • master classes
  • study trips
  • visiting artist’s talks
  • guest speakers in Philosophy

The AP Forum is a programme of seminars open to the entire community of students in Art & Philosophy. We draw links between theory and practice to explore a range of content that reflects the scope of contemporary art production and critical thinking.

Our staff have international expertise, ensuring that teaching is based on a current understanding of visual art practice.

Assessment

Modules in Fine Art are assessed through the production of a substantial body of work which will demonstrate your skills in research, creative development, and informed making practices.

Modules in Philosophy are assessed through coursework essays, tutorial performance, exams, and dissertations.
