You will explore AI's transformative role in reshaping creative industries and workflows.
You will reflect on your own creative processes. This will involve trying AI tools across various creative stages. You will then look at identifying where human creativity can be most effectively amplified.
You will lead on your own learning process,. You will learn to systematically understand AI’s impact on creative practices. This will allow you to adapt your methods, processes, and vision to excel in the future.
What you will learn
In this module, you will:
- learn about artificial intelligence and generative AI. This will consist of a look at AI's evolution and its transformative impact on the creative industries
- learn about creative process frameworks. You will look at frameworks that facilitate creative processes. You will learn about methods of identifying individual workflows and critical thinking through human-centred principles
- explore the fundamentals of prompt engineering. This will involve hands-on exploration of AI tools for ideation, brainstorming, and rapid prototyping. This will be done through case studies
- think about ethics and bias in AI. You will explore ideas of addressing AI bias and designing for trust. You will also explore ethical considerations and key disclaimers in AI-driven creation
- think about real world application of AI. You will engage with real world projects across various creative disciplines. You will approach this through interdisciplinary teamwork and collaborative co-creation
- reflect on AI's role in personal and professional growth. You will also examine its influence on career paths in the creative sector
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- recognise and leverage your own strengths and creativity. This will allow you to thrive in the rapidly-changing AI and digital era

- project presentation (50%)
- You will select a real-world creative challenge relevant to your discipline. You will apply AI tools to explore innovative solutions
- 1000-word reflective essay (50%)
- You will critically evaluate their project experience. This will allow you to address how AI has influenced your creative process. You will also consider the ethical considerations encountered. You will also think about your evolving perspective on human-AI collaboration.
