The Centre for Qualitative Research in Finance (CQRF), is offering seedcorn funding of up to £1000 to support research
The Centre for Qualitative Research in Finance (CQRF) was established in 2013 to reflect the growing employment of interviews, case studies and other non-quantitative methodologies in the fields of corporate finance and financial markets.
The Centre’s primary aim is to bring together academics and others working in these areas, encouraging methodological development and exploring the full potential of such approaches in examinations of market and actor behaviour.
The CQRF was launched with an inaugural lecture by Professor Meir Statman of Santa Clara University and has continued to attract renowned speakers to its on-going seminar series.
The success of the latter led to the first international CQRF conference (the first global event of its kind) being held in Dundee, Scotland, in 2019 with the next scheduled for summer 2022.
The Centre’s establishment was motivated in part by the success of its associated journal, Qualitative Research in Financial Markets which was founded in 2009 as the first dedicated outlet for studies employing qualitative research tools in the area and grown rapidly in scope and scale in the years since.
The journal has two live Calls for Papers for Special Issues on:
- the link between Fintech and Sustainability
- the role of Accounting, Finance and Governance in reducing the potential impact of future pandemics
