REF 2021

The ambition to grow the quality, volume, and sustainability of world-leading and internationally excellent research in Business and Management studies is being realised by strengthening the leadership and academic culture in the University of Dundee School of Business (UDSB).

We have increased investment in academic staff numbers and workload time allocated for Research, Knowledge Exchange, and Impact (RKEI) activities, and grown the Postgraduate Research community. Over the assessment period, financial support for RKEI has tripled and teaching and research staff numbers grew by 53%. This investment has enabled research continuity as much as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic. This has resulted in a much stronger pipeline of peer-reviewed publications in international journals and increased public engagement and impact activities.

We continued to grow esteem through public appointments, journal editorships, links with industry, and international and professional recognition during the period 2014 - 2021.
