You will also cover the social, economic and environmental implications.

Estimating the environmental impacts of planned Civil Engineering projects is becoming increasingly important.

We must, wherever possible, minimize any negative effects.

This module looks at two ways to measure environmental impact. These are Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA).

This module is designed to instil a lifelong learning habit and establish the practice of documenting learning activities. 

This will prepare you for your initial professional development and a career as a professionally qualified engineer.

This module allows you to undertake a substantial, individual programme of research, either experimental, analytical, in-depth survey, or on-site, which addresses a specific engineering problem. 

The topic of the project will be related to the your MSc pathway/specialism.

This module explores the world of intelligent machines. There will be a focus on cutting-edge advancements in robotics.

Learn about the latest advancements in robotics and how they impact our world and future.

This module introduces topics related to advanced robotics like:

You will explore systems used in project management to ensure success, potential risks, and how to monitor the costs of a project.

The module also covers the types of systems used in different projects and how they work.

Case studies will be discussed to learn from their successes and failures.

You will examine how the manufacture and use of construction materials can impact the environment.

You will look at how negative impacts can be reduced or avoided, and positive impacts maximised.
