Library Services facilities
Our libraries provide spaces that can be booked by students for study.
The library offers a number of facilities to assist with student learning and to create a comfortable study environment.
Wifi and computer access
Our libraries are wifi enabled and each site has network PCs available for student use. The Main Library also has laptops available for use in the library.
Each of our library sites provide access to print facilities, with the Main Library offering 12 black and white/colour A3/A4 printing/copying and scanning machines.
Group study rooms are available to book at each of our sites, with the Main Library also offering solo study pods. See Study spaces for more details.
Most of our sites have lockers available for the use of University of Dundee students.
Food and drink
The Main Library has a PC Internet Cafe and provides extensive opening hours during exam periods, as requested by University of Dundee students. This site also has vending machines, hot water taps, microwave, and kitchenette facilities. Other library sites have café facilities available within the wider building.
On the ground floor of the Main Library is the CreateSpace, which provides equipment and resources to make different creative pursuits accessible to as many students as possible, removing cost and space barriers.
This allows students to try something different and build skills in areas broader than just what they are studying in class. We have facilities such as 3D printers, power tools and digital embroidery machinery.
It is also recognised that being creative can help with wellbeing and mental health, so the space is also a place for students to relax and de-stress by picking up an activity which promotes mindfulness such as colouring in, jigsaw puzzling and sewing.
See the CreateSpace website for more details on available equipment and supplies.
For more information on facilities and accessibility at each site see Our libraries.
