Academic and Corporate Governance is responsible for servicing the major governance bodies as prescribed within the University Charter.

University Court is the governing body of the University with particular responsibility for the employment of staff and the management and administration of property and finance, and the Senatus Academicus as the University’s supreme academic body with responsibility for the teaching and discipline of the University.

The roles and responsibilities of the Court and the Senate are defined within the University's Statutes and Ordinances, and the committees of Court and Senate are further described on the pages within this section of the website.

In addition, the directorate provide support for the Staff Council and Graduates’ Association.
