Ninewells Campus 📍
Ninewells Campus, in the west of Dundee, consists of Ninewells Hospital and Medical School

Where is Dundee's Ninewells campus?
Our Ninewells campus is on-site at Ninewells Hospital, one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals. It’s about 3 miles from the city centre and easily accessible by bus, which is free if you’re aged under 22.
Because you’re based at a hospital, there’s great integration with the NHS and you’re able to feel embedded within hospital life – so important if you’re looking to build a career in the medical field.
How do I get to Ninewells campus?
Ninewells campus is a 20-minute bus ride from Dundee city centre. There is also car parking available on-site, though if you’re living in Dundee, you will find it easy to get around without a car.
If you’re living in student accommodation, West Park is the closest (a 40-minute walk) - but with the local bus routes, it’s easy to get to Ninewells, wherever you stay.
What is at Ninewells campus?
Although this campus isn’t within the city centre it’s very easy to get back into town.
However, you’ll find lots of amenities here, including a library, cafes, newsagents and corner shop, so you shouldn’t need to leave this campus if you’re studying here.
There are also lots of study and social spaces for you to catch up with classes or classmates between lectures. The hospital grounds also have a large amount of green spaces to walk or relax in.
Clinical Skills Centre
As well as the hands-on clinical experience you'll get within the hospital as a medical student, Ninewells Campus has a simulation centre. The simulations replicate real-life medical scenarios, so you can practise without putting actual patients at risk.
