City of Dundee
Dundee is the perfect student city. Compact, friendly, and easy to get around, yet bursting with all the entertainment and opportunities of big-city life.
Location
Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the city of Dundee is located on the sunny east coast of Scotland, along the banks of the River Tay. You'll find it easy to get here thanks to excellent road and rail connections.
Spectacular scenery, skiing, championship golf, mountain climbing, and sailing are all within reach.

The major cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, both with international airports, are only a short trip away. This makes it easy to get to all the major centres of the UK and Europe.

Getting around
Dundee is a compact and walkable city, with everything you need on your doorstep. If you're living on or near the city campus, you will be just a short walk away from your classes, green spaces, cultural attractions, cafes, restaurants, shops, and bars.
If you're living outside the city or need to travel a little further, we have an excellent bus network. Bus travel throughout the whole of Scotland is free for all under-22s so it won't cost you anything either!
Dundee waterfront
The waterfront has recently been redeveloped and is now home to an urban beach, water fountains, and a giant whale sculpture. It's a great place to relax with an ice cream in the summer months. Next to the waterfront is Slessor Gardens, which hosts a variety of events each year. These include a winter market, Pride celebrations, and outdoor concerts.
