Teaching

Teaching takes various forms, including:

  • traditional lectures
  • workshops (where you complete coursework under the guidance of a staff member)
  • experimental practicals
  • seminars

During your research dissertation, you will receive regular advice from your supervisor in one-to-one meetings.

Assessment

You will be assessed through various forms of coursework, including practical reports, essays, and multiple choice quizzes.

At the end of each semester you will also take exams, where your knowledge of individual modules will be assessed through essays and/or multiple choice questions.

These modules are an essential part of your course.

Module code: PY50007 Credits: 60 Semester: Both Semester 1 and 2

​This module is the capstone of the Psychology Conversion MSc, giving you the opportunity to undertake a substantial piece of independent research under expert supervision.

You'll develop a literature review, design an original study, collect and analyse data, and write a full dissertation.

You'll also complete a formative poster presentation of your findings, submitted on a Pass/Fail basis, as a milestone toward completing the module.​
