Embedding Employability in your Curriculum

The importance of the employability of all our students is embedded within the University strategy and translated into action through the Curriculum Design Principles

The Careers Service is here to support you with embedding employability into your curriculums with specific focus on Skills Awareness/Articulation, Work-Related Learning and support with Transitions after graduation:

Stage 1: Explore

  • Understand yourself
  • Develop skills

Stage 2: Develop

  • Experiential learning
  • Opportunity awareness

Stage 3: Connect

  • Take action
  • Decide, apply, transition

We will work with you in a consultative manner to ensure that all stages of the employability curriculum design principles are fully embedded into your programmes.  Contact us or get in touch with your careers adviser to discuss your ideas further.

If you are considering adding a work-related learning or work-based learning element to your programme we will work with you to ensure a consistently high quality experience for all involved.  Use the Placement Toolkit as a guide but please get in touch for specialist support.
