Embedding Employability in your Curriculum

At the University of Dundee, student employability is a strategic priority, embedded within our Curriculum Design Principles to ensure every student is equipped for life beyond graduation

The Careers Service is here to support you with embedding employability into your curriculum with a specific focus on skills awareness/articulation, work-related learning and support with transitions after graduation.

We work collaboratively with you to ensure employability is meaningfully integrated at every stage of curriculum design. If you're considering adding a work-related or work-based learning component to your programme, we’ll help you design a high-quality experience for students and employers alike.

Graduate Destination Data

Graduate Outcomes is a national survey conducted by HESA (the Higher Education Statistics Agency) that captures information about the activities and perspectives of graduates approximately 15 months after completing their studies. The data provides valuable insights into employment, further study, and other outcomes, helping institutions understand how their graduates progress and how courses align with career trajectories. For academics, this data is particularly useful in evaluating the effectiveness of programmes, informing curriculum development, and supporting accreditation or quality assurance processes. It also contributes to institutional metrics used in league tables and regulatory frameworks.

Staff can access Graduate Outcomes data via the University Management Information Portal.
