We take part in both indoor tournaments and outdoor leagues throughout the season

From friendlies to competitive matches both in and outdoors, there’s plenty of cricket throughout the year for our members to get involved with!

Despite the wonderful Scottish weather, the University of Dundee has a flourishing cricket club. Our club is made up of people of all abilities, ages, shapes, sizes and genders and we are always looking for new members to continue to grow our ever-increasing membership.

Throughout the year we take part in a vast range of game formats, both indoor and outdoor, meaning there’s something for everyone to get involved in. In recent years, we have taken part in an indoor tapeball tournament and played numerous friendlies outdoors with local clubs and other universities. Currently, we compete in BUCS Men’s Scottish Tier 1, a league we won recently in the 23/24 season.

We offer professional coaching, although training is quite informal and offers a relaxed, enjoyable environment in which to improve and develop your skills. We train twice a week on a Tuesday evening and late morning on a Saturday. These training sessions are usually a combination of fielding drills and bowling and batting in the nets, we also have regular games nights.

The social side of our club is just as important as our playing side. In addition to the weekly after training socials at our sponsor pub, we organise regular quizzes and seasonal dinners as well as the occasional fundraiser. Come and join us and meet some people who are as enthusiastic about cricket as you are!
