Our medical school sits within a working hospital, so you'll learn in clinical skills facilities, laboratories, and teaching spaces shared with the staff who treat patients next door. Whether you're starting out in medicine, taking an intercalated year to study a topic in greater depth, or building on an established clinical career, you'll be taught by researchers, clinicians, and educators working at the front of their fields.

Undergraduate courses

With around 220 undergraduate medical students in each academic study year, Dundee’s five year curriculum prepares doctors for the greatly increased pace of change in medical knowledge and practice. From early in first year students get to meet patients - on wards, in outpatient clinics, and in general practice.

You can do a one-year intercalated BMSc between Year 3 and Year 4 of your undergraduate medicine degree.
