Teaching

We teach using the following methods:

  • lectures
  • workshops
  • small group session
  • directed and independent study time
  • masterclasses and seminars with invited speakers

The course consists of four modules and a dissertation.

During the course, you will critically review your professional practice and use this as a platform for future professional and personal development.

You will also learn how to

  • critically appraise and analyse research
  • evaluate theory relating to leadership and change
  • demonstrate detailed knowledge, skills, and values relating to professional education.

Assessment

You will be assessed using:

  • coursework
  • written assessments
  • presentations
  • a dissertation
  • written exams

These modules are an essential part of your course.

Module code: PN50142 Credits: 30 Semester: Semester 1

This module will support you in exploring your career journey and reflecting on why you came into the health profession.

You will be encouraged to think about the values that underpin your practice, the personal influences and contexts which shape these, and explore strategies for ongoing professional development.
