In addition, there will be some opportunities for workplace experience in an NHS, research, or educational setting, giving you first-hand insights into how healthcare is provided in the UK.
You will gain an excellent grounding in the UK’s four Pillars of Practice:

- facilitation of learning
- leadership and evidence
- research and development
You are encouraged to consider the challenges and opportunities associated with nursing practice. There will be many opportunities to discuss and debate contemporary issues and the evidence base with fellow nurses, lecturers, other student groups, and topic experts during lectures, tutorials, and other timetabled sessions.
You will have the option of completing a two week workplace experience. This can be done in an environment of your choice, including, health care, social care, university (such as clinical skills or sports institute), or in a research setting.
