This will prepare you for your initial professional development and a career as a professionally qualified engineer.

You will learn the principles of sustainability and sustainable development. You will also explore the link between theory, policy and practice.

You will examine how more sustainable futures can be achieved in practice.

The module is designed to enable you to develop an advanced understanding of global and regional climate change and to provide an objective and balanced understanding of the key terms and concepts associated with the development of the climate change debate as it has evolved over the last half-century.

This module explores the world of intelligent machines. There will be a focus on cutting-edge advancements in robotics.

Learn about the latest advancements in robotics and how they impact our world and future.

This module introduces topics related to advanced robotics like:

• Industry 4.0
• smart manufacturing
• sensor fusion
• autonomous robotics

Learn about state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies.

This will range from additive manufacturing and alloy casting to laser technology.

The module explains the basics of a variety of manufacturing techniques.

Gain practical project experience through a 10-week group project, developing a business idea.

You will also take part in a 12-week individual project in an industrial setting. This will allow you to gain valuable work experience.
