Biography
Dr Sihotang is a member of teaching staff within the Accounting and Finance discipline in the School of Business since September 2020. He graduated from State School of Accountancy in Indonesia with the full scholarship from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. Then he completed his Master of Accountancy from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, USA with the full scholarship from the World Bank. In 2003 he completed a PhD in Accounting from the University of Dundee, Scotland, UK with full scholarship from Indonesian Oil and Gas Consortium. Parulian holds Indonesian Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA). Parulian has more than 20 years practice experience in Oil and Gas Industry in the areas of accounting, finance, risk management, tax, project economics before joining the School.

My article on Intellectual Capital Reporting has been used by Indonesian Capital Market Authority to develop rules and regulation on companies’ disclosures listed in Indonesia Stock Markets (IDX)
In addition, my article about energy transition policy has been used by Indonesian Government to improve Indonesian Energy Policy.
