Wondering Wild
Wondering Wild
Young Visitors’ Worksheet
Inviting young visitors (under 16) to step into the world of Dream Land through their senses and to explore the perspectives of the animals, DJCAD MFA Drawing students have designed a worksheet to accompany Heather Phillipson’s exhibition.
The Wondering Wild activities within the worksheet aim to channel a curiosity for details in the installation and to foster empathetic connections with living creatures in the natural world.
Available in print for the duration of the exhibition Dream Land at Cooper Gallery, the worksheet can also be downloaded to take part remotely.
Children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Access
Cooper Gallery is located to the right side of the DJCAD buildings on Perth Road. The entrance is via double doors which face onto a car park.
The gallery is on two floors. Ground floor has ramped access. First floor is accessible by an internal lift and six steps with a handrail. Wheelchair access is via a stairclimber. Please email in advance if you require lift or stairclimber access.
First floor is also accessible via 24 steps. Two flights of 12 steps with handrails are separated by a landing.

Still Moving – Capturing Motion in Art & Science
The world is constantly in motion around us. One of the challenges for both artists and scientists is how to capture movement in order to understand and express it, whether through still images or sets of data. This exhibition in the Tower Foyer Gallery explores some of the ways that motion has been captured in time both in art and science. All of the objects and artworks on display are drawn from the University of Dundee’s Museum Collections. We guarantee a moving experience!
Open Mon-Fri 09.30am-7pm, Sat 11am-4pm. The Tower Building may closer earlier on weekdays during the summer vacation - we advise arriving no later than 5pm.

She will then explore this through an occupational lens accessing theories of transitions in her role as an occupational therapist situating her lived experience within a theoretical framework to enhance experiential learning and knowledge creation.
My Eyes Become Ears | Drawing Workshop
My Eyes Become Ears | Drawing Workshop
Thursday 29 June, 6.00-7.30pm
My Eyes Become Ears is an experimental drawing workshop designed by DJCAD MFA Drawing students to accompany the exhibition Dream Land by Heather Phillipson. The workshop will embrace the transformational and interactive power of drawing beyond the purely visual. Engaging with drawing in a way that incorporates all of our senses, the workshop invites participants to question the strange ways we move through and interact with the world. How can the process of creating drawing emulate the ways in which all living things move, grow, and transform?
“It’s like my eyes become ears, and my feet also become ears, and maybe my whole body is ears.”
Quotation: Heather Phillipson, from ‘Heather Phillipson – ‘No fixed starting point, only accumulation’ | Turner Prize Nominee 2022 | Tate”. Access here.
