Stage 5 (SCQF level 11)

The Academic Writing and Communicating Science in Dentistry module covers development of writing skills, with an emphasis on scientific writing including referencing, plagiarism and ethics.

It aims to introduce students to the retrieval, critical analysis and synthesis of published literature; communication skills – written and verbal (to laypeople, peers and senior specialists); presentation techniques and use of presentation tools; basic statistics and experimental design, time management and autonomy.
