MDSc Endodontics

Develop your skills and understanding of the scientific basis and practice of endodontics. You will get to work in a dental hospital on a variety of cases.

You will become experienced in the clinical assessment of patients, be able to diagnose pain of pulpal origin, and perform simple and complex root canal treatment procedures under magnification.

We are a friendly school, and you will get a dedicated trained dental nurse and specialist endodontist tutor, meaning you receive close supervision and support.

Practical skills are taught first using a combination of natural and 3D-printed plastic teeth in a clinical skills laboratory. Then your skills will be developed by treating patients under supervision.

This course is for graduates who want to advance their existing endodontic skills, and is of particular benefit if your want to pursue a career in academia or specialist practice.

“You get a lot of exposure to different clinical scenarios, which is really valuable. We use fantastic equipment and the nurses are so helpful. Our programme leads are always there to offer support, too. This course has definitely exceeded my expectations.”
