This guide explains the rules around which and how many modules you need to take to complete your degree.

Module availability varies each semester, so you should consider the best order to study optional modules before choosing. If you are unable to take modules in the recommended order, please contact your Teaching Support to discuss.

Records Management PGCert

Existing students only, no longer open to new applications

You need to take modules that total 60 credits.

  • 40 credits are core modules
  • 20 credits are optional modules

You need to take modules that total 120 credits.

  • 100 credits are core modules
  • 20 credits are optional modules

Core modules

Records Management and Digital Preservation MSc

You need to take modules that total 180 credits.

  • 100 credits are core modules
  • 20 credits are optional modules
  • 60 credits is the dissertation module
