If you have an enthusiasm for teaching English as a second language, this TESOL course will support you in developing the knowledge and understanding, skills, attributes, and values necessary to enhance your professional practice in an education role, whether you are new to teaching or an experienced teacher.

We have a range of expertise and experience available to you, including innovative teaching approaches, leadership, research, inclusion, and international education.

You will have opportunities to develop your professional knowledge of English language teaching within a global context, with particular emphasis on the links between language theory, practice, and research. You will also gain the skills and confidence to teach English as a second language through observations, lesson planning, and micro-teaching.

A key part of this course is your dissertation, where you will build up your research skills in order to apply them to a TESOL-related issue. You will explore and examine these educational issues to develop new ways of thinking and understanding, to inform your future career.

“I believe every student deserves the right to a good education and the chance to learn a foreign language which is why I wanted to study this course. The interesting methods and techniques I’ve been taught mean I will now be able to teach English not only in Kazakhstan but in other non-English countries which is amazing!”
