Biography
I am Abubakar Hassan, a Lecturer in Economics at the School of Business, University of Dundee. I hold a PhD in Energy Economics from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law & Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee. My research interests cut across climate change, energy transition, energy price volatility, competition, and market regulation. I am also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Research
I have published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Environmental Science and Pollution Research, International Journal of Agricultural Resources, Governance and Ecology, and Journal of Economic and Management Perspectives.
Teaching
I have over a decade of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate level at the University of Dundee, Federal University Dutse in Nigeria, and Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus. The courses I have taught include advanced microeconomics, macroeconomics and applied policy, mathematics for economists, operations research, competition and market regulation, big data analytics for business transformation, professional development for economists, among others.
