National Phenotypic Screening Centre (NPSC)

NPSC is a world-class phenotypic screening facility run by an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers who collaborate to advance the use of complex biology and to drive innovation

robot in lab for national phenotypic screening

The National Phenotypic Screening Centre (NPSC) at the University of Dundee partners with biopharma, biotech, and academic teams to deliver high-throughput, image-based phenotypic screening that reveals mechanism-relevant biology and accelerates decision-making.

Our end-to-end platform brings together fully equipped cell and tissue culture suites; automated liquid, compound, and plate handling; and high-content data acquisition. Analyses are supported by production-grade informatics - dedicated compute cluster, fully backed-up storage, OMERO Plus data management - and reproducible pipelines built on CellProfiler, R, and JupyterHub for efficient data reduction and analysis.
