The aim of the module is to provide students with a critical understanding and key skills in managing people in organisations: the role of people management in achieving strategic aims, strategic change and enhanced performance; the international context of people management: culture, institutions and ‘promising practices’; managing organizational design and its strategic role; managing people in corporate context; managing people in the contemporary technological context; contemporary issues in the management of people and organisations and employee engagement & psychological contract.
