Funding call Spring 2022

(period of award 1 March – 30 June 2022)

IIG grants (of up to between £3 - £4,000) are to support interdisciplinary research involving staff from disciplines within member Schools and, if appropriate, other disciplines from across the University. We hope to award between 3 - 5 projects.

The funding can go towards interdisciplinary activities such as seminars, workshops, guest lectures, preparing a grant application, employing research assistance for research activities such as transcription, conducting a literature review or interviews, designing methods or for dissemination activities, for example, producing a video or producing high-quality reports etc. Staff can apply throughout the academic year and upon successful approval of the submission, can draw on funds to be used within the award period 1 March – 30 June 2022.

Funding calls are usually circulated to staff within this period and funds must be spent by July with no carry forward.

You will be expected to provide an end of project report on the outcomes and expenditure of the award one month following the end of the project date). Recipients are required to submit a one-two page summary on how funds were spent and the outcomes.

Activities are sponsored and hosted by ISSR. All expenditure, financial purchases, or otherwise required to be approved by ISSR before processing.

Throughout the promotion of events, it is expected that the Institute for Social Sciences Research (ISSR) is shown as sponsor/funder on the final copy programme, literature, social media platforms and all oral/written communication.
