Assessment

We use a combination of in-course and end-of-course assessments. These will take the form of:

  • practical reports (based on lab work)
  • computer-based exercises
  • data processing exercises
  • essays
  • exams

Modules and progression

The first year of this course is taught at Dundee & Angus College, and follows their HNC Applied Sciences route including the University module The Building Blocks of Life (BS11009).

Upon passing the first year at D&A College, you will be able to progress into second year of one of our BSc (Hons) Biological or Biomedical Science degrees (except the NUS Singapore / Indonesia Institute for Life Sciences degrees).

Your adviser of studies will help you choose your second year modules at the end of the first year.
