Successful completion of this course leads to registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) as a dentist.

After you graduate, a wide range of opportunities are available. Graduates usually complete a vocational or foundation training programme to consolidate their skills. Following vocational training, you can then choose to work in general dental practice or in the community dental service. Working in a hospital is another attractive path for graduates, which can lead to becoming a specialist or consultant.

“I am currently working as a General Dental Practitioner at a fast-growing dental group in Singapore. The education I received from the University of Dundee has equipped me well for my career as a dentist. I feel that the clinical experience I had gained as a dental student has certainly prepared me for the challenges as a working clinician.”

Kanokporn Laorerkuthai, Bachelor of Dental Surgery graduate 2017, from Thailand
