Level entry

Grade requirements

This course is for nurses, midwives and other professionals in health and social care contexts such as the voluntary sector, managers, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), physiotherapists, and nutritionists.

You will need to have achieved 120 credits at SCQF level 7, and 120 credits at level 8 (or equivalent) which is normally demonstrated by your professional qualification.

Essential subjects

If you are a UK nurse with a 300 credit DipHE / HND, this already contains 60 credits at level 9. You may be able to use these credits as the equivalent of 60 credits towards your Dundee BSc top-up degree. This would mean you would only need to complete one optional module instead of three.

If you wish to apply for this, you will need to submit a Recognition of Prior Informal Learning (RPIL) claim alongside your course application.
