In-sessional courses
If you have met the English entry requirements for your course, but you would still like to improve your written and spoken English, we can help. Each semester, we offer free tuition in Academic Writing, Academic Speaking and Grammar. You can sign up for one, two or all three of these skills.
Each class lasts for one or two hours and if you attend 8 or more of the classes in a skill, you will receive a certificate of attendance for that skill.
The Writing and Grammar classes will be divided into two levels depending on your IELTS score (or equivalent):
- Intermediate classes are for students with an IELTS score of up to 6.0 in Writing
- Advanced classes are for students with an IELTS score of 6.5 or above in Writing
Each class will run once a week from Monday 24 January 2022 until Friday 1 April 2022.
These classes are open to all students and staff whose first language is not English.
