Explore the role of banks and finance in the modern global economy. Using information from a number of sources, you will study the theory and practice of international banking and financial markets, and their behaviour. You'll apply theory to real-world problems.

You will study different international banking systems, money, investments, and regulations which have become increasingly important in recent years.

The investment topic gives you the opportunity to explore issues around financial statements and analysis, emerging financial markets and investment, security analysis, and investment management.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in a global internship or carry out a project with an organisation.

Global internships

As part of this course you have the opportunity to undertake an eight-week internship matched to your chosen industry in China, Mexico, Vietnam, or Manchester (UK).

You can also contact the course director, Professor Bill Russell, via Skype to discuss the course.
