Teaching and assessment for Global Public Health (part-time) PGDip

This module will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary for practice in various global health programs.

You will learn to critically analyse global health challenges and gain a foundational background to support your advancement into a career in global health practice and research.

You will gain critical skills in synthesizing information and describe the importance of a holistic interdisciplinary approach to maternal health.

The outcomes will also focus on equipping you with the skills needed to design, implement, and evaluate public health programs aimed at reducing maternal morbidity and mortality.

You will gain critical skills in synthesising current evidence, theories and perspectives to help understand how to prevent and reduce substance use and related harms among different population groups and in different contexts.

You will develop foundational knowledge of epidemiological concepts, principles and methods applied on a global perspective and be able to analyse and interpret epidemiological data

​This online module examines mental health at a community level, with a global perspective.

You will explore how social, cultural, and structural factors shape mental wellbeing and mental ill health, study approaches to stigma reduction and suicide prevention, and develop skills in promoting mentally healthy communities through evidence-based, person-centred practice.​
