Teaching and assessment for French GradDip

We teach the course using a range of methods including:

• reading and listening materials
• web conferences
• discussion boards

You will also have online immersion days giving you the chance to chat with other students, practice your language skills, and take part in activities.

You will be expected to buy the course textbook, a reference grammar book, a good bilingual French-English dictionary, and occasional literary texts.

A variety of assessment methods are used, including:

• essays
• a series of lesson plans or equivalent for non-teachers
• oral presentations
• reports or summaries
• translations
• a research project
• end of course examinations (one written and one oral exam - both normally conducted online)
