Biography

After a career in private legal practice as a partner in a leading Scottish solicitors firm, Stuart Cross moved to Dundee Law School in 1994. He retired from full-time academic work in 2019 but continues to work closely with the Law School on law and technology teaching and professional engagement.

He has extensive experience of IP, e-commerce and charity law and is a board member of OSCR, the Scottish charity regulator. He is a Governor of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and a board member of Leisure and Culture Dundee.

Research

Stuart Cross is Emeritus Professor of Law. He works closely with the Law School in the development of their innovative teaching and professional engagement activities relating to law, technology and innovation in partnership legal tech developers and law firms. He is a member of the Law Society of Scotland's Technology Law and Practice Committee and an adviser to legal tech developer JURALIO.
