Biography
Marie is a lecturer on the Professional Doctorate and the MEd programmes; she also supervises doctoral students. Marie spent many years working in various roles within the mainstream education sector in England, including teaching secondary science. Upon moving to Scotland, Marie became an education lecturer in FE before commencing her role at the University in 2013. Marie's experiences across the different sectors have provided her with a broad base on which to build her professional knowledge. Marie has a keen interest in leadership and management which led her to complete an MEd in Leadership and Management and a PhD focusing on school leadership and creativity through the lens of Complexity Leadership Theory.
Her research interests continue to be in these themes as well as merging her passion for the natural sciences through exploring environmental sustainability.
Marie also enjoys returning to the natural sciences through her photography and spending time outdoors.
