Dates will be set throughout the year when sufficient numbers register. Sign up below and we’ll be in touch.
Where?
Centre for Entrepreneurship, 75 Old Hawkhill, University of Dundee
Do I need a well-formed idea for a spin out company?
No, you just need to be working in a research area that has or will have outputs that could be exploited in a new company.
At the end of the course, everyone will have a well-formed analysis of their idea and ongoing help from RIS and CfE to take it forward. Cash awards may be available to fund expert support and services.
Course themes
- Is my ideal real? Does it have a customer?
- Is my idea viable? Does it work financially?
- Is my idea feasible? What steps are needed to develop the technology?
- How do I protect my idea?
- How will I make money from it?
- How do I get support to make it happen?
These and other questions will be answered by experts from the University and specialist partners.
We will only ask you to provide your details, a bit about your area of research, and the progress you’ve made towards IP protection and/ or commercialisation so far.
