Looking back at Entrepreneurship Week – Innovation in Action
Entrepreneurship Week 2026 was a whirlwind of creativity, learning, and collaboration at the Centre. Over five days, students, staff, graduates, and the public explored the skills, strategies, and mindset needed to turn ideas into real-world impact.
The week kicked off with Marketing for Startups and the Purpose-Led Social Enterprise workshop, helping participants refine their ideas and think beyond profit. “I left the session feeling confident about my idea and how to pitch it,” shared one attendee.
GameSpace brought creativity and tech together, while midweek sessions on resilience and mindset reminded everyone that success is as much about perseverance as ideas. “The Unshakeable Mindset session really helped me see challenges as opportunities,” noted a student.
Practical workshops on investor readiness and funding guidance gave participants hands-on advice, while networking events turned inspiration into real connections.
The highlight was the Venture Final, where eight finalists showcased innovative ideas across healthcare, hospitality, social enterprise, and legal sectors. “It was incredible to see so many creative ideas come to life - and to feel part of such a supportive community,” reflected a graduate.
Entrepreneurship Week 2026 celebrated ambition, creativity, and collaboration - leaving participants equipped with knowledge, networks, and confidence to pursue their entrepreneurial journeys.
The Venture competition marked the grand finale of the University’s annual Entrepreneurship Week, a dynamic programme of workshops and lectures highlighting business opportunities across Scotland.
