Masterclasses are for everyone

Showing that entrepreneurship can arise from any subject or profession, we host a Masterclass aimed at each school within the University every academic year. Tickets are always free and open to anyone, within and out of the University.

Our speakers tell us about their experiences along their career paths but also angle their Masterclass towards a specific area of their success to give the audience key takeaways and greater insight. With every Masterclass, there's always time to ask any burning questions and often chances to network once the talk is finished.

Chris McCann

Former Dundee medical student Chris Mccann hosted our Annual Public Lecture during Entrepreneurship Week 2022 and delivered an excellent and inspiring talk detailing his journey from medical student to selling his company for £300 million only seven years later.

Johanna Basford

DJCAD graduate and New York Times Bestseller Johanna Basford gave a hugely popular Annual Public Lecture in 2021. Johanna has been a pioneer throughout her career and her series of colouring books for adults have sold over 30 million copies.

Professor Alessio Ciulli

Alessio holds the Personal Chair of Chemical Structural Biology at the University's School of Life Sciences. He is also the Director of Dundee's Centre for Targeted Protein Degradation (CeTPD). On top of that, Professor Ciulli is the scientific founder of Amphista Therapeutics, a company that develops new protein degradation platforms. Alessio is a fantastic example of the University's entrepreneurial spirit and has a brilliant story to tell.
