Discovery research portal
Discovery is the University of Dundee's online collection of published research material. This is where you can search for things like:
- articles
- books
- conference papers
- research theses and other material
It is easy to find new research material, and easy to deposit your own work to make it more widely available. Discovery is a valuable source of research material for students, researchers and the public.
When engaging in public engagement, we encourage you to record your activity through Discovery.
Here are a few example of colleagues who all use their Discovery profiles to showcase their engagement activity and related publications, to give you a sense of how this can be presented:
This activity is not just restricted to academic staff. In 2021 staff on academic-related contracts have had their profiles switched on.
New Discovery account holders will have received an email inviting you to sign into Discovery Portal. For those who wish to make their profile public, we strongly recommend uploading at least a photograph and biography.
