Careers for Biochemistry (with a year in industry) BSc (Hons)
There are many different job options you can consider after graduating with a degree in Biochemistry BSc. Dundee is a rapidly expanding centre for biotechnology with new firms opening and forming links with our biochemists. We encourage you to do a work placement to get a taste of these new industries.
“I now work as a Medical Writer for a global healthcare communications agency, which is a dream job for me. The university allowed me to realise what I was good at and what aspects of the scientific community I was most interested in. I was able to focus my honours year project on science communication as opposed to a lab-based project, which was fantastic for me as I never saw myself working in a lab or going on to do research-based further education.
