Our artificial intelligence (AI) courses at Dundee focus on solving real-world challenges. Across all of our courses, we emphasise responsible practice so that you learn to develop or use AI in a safe, fair, and responsible way. 

You can concentrate on building and developing AI systems, including intelligent software and technical foundations, or learn to apply this technology in specific fields such as business, healthcare, and engineering.

Computing with AI - postgraduate courses

These courses focus on developing AI technologies, including the design, implementation, and deployment of artificial intelligence systems. At Dundee, our AI community blends computing, data science, and human-computer interaction.

Our AI for Software Development MSc is designed for graduates who don't already have a background in software development, and our Artificial Intelligence MSc is for graduates with a computing background.

Data and decision science - postgraduate courses

These courses focus on using data to build models, generate insight, and support decision-making across scientific, technical, and organisational contexts.

These courses focus on using AI to support analysis, decision-making, and innovation in business and management contexts. Learn how to make strategy measurable through data-driven planning.

You will also combine data-driven techniques with strategic and ethical considerations, always focused on both the responsible use of data and on outcomes that genuinely matter.

Projects will mirror professional work, covering areas such as decision papers, plans, budgets, and performance reviews.

Health, science, and the built environment - postgraduate courses

These courses apply artificial intelligence across healthcare technologies, clinical and laboratory settings, and built environment and infrastructure contexts. 

There's a strong focus on patient safety, public benefit, and responsible innovation. Projects focus on real needs from hospitals, laboratories, local authorities, and industry partners, and you'll learn to make a genuine and trusted impact.
