The Master of Orthopaedic Surgery (MCh Orth) and MSc in Orthopaedic Science degrees have been re-accredited by Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng) for a further three-year period. Both programmes were originally accredited in 2013 and re-accredited in 2017, and 2020, respectively.

The re-accreditation process is conducted every three years to assess and ensure the continued quality of the programmes adhere to the exceptionally exacting standards expected by the RCSEng.

The Royal College viewed our documentation constructively including the work done in the preceding years to build upon the programme, including the College’s recommendations from the previous re-accreditation.

Professor Arpit Jariwala, MCh (Orth) Director and Director of UDOTS commented:

“The re-accreditation from the Royal College is extremely important for our programmes, the School of Medicine, and the University as a whole. The re-accreditation shows our continued efforts to improve these already world-renowned degrees and once again highlights the dedication of the small team of staff here at UDOTS, our brilliant teaching faculty and lecturers who continue to support the programmes and champion and promote what we believe to be, and what student feedback informs us, an unrivalled orthopaedic teaching experience. We look forward to our continued working relationship with the RCSEng.”
