Facility hire

The University of Dundee offers an extensive range of sport, exercise and physical activity facilities, all operated under Sport and Active Health (SpAH). 

Our complex is open to everyone, from University of Dundee students and staff to members of the local community.   

Conveniently located on the northern edge of the city campus, our complex provides Dundee’s most comprehensive selection of indoor and outdoor multi-sport spaces. These include a fully equipped gym, specialist strength training area, two sports halls, three exercise studios, squash and tennis courts, and a swimming pool. 

Just a 20-minute walk from campus, the Riverside Playing Fields offer both grass and artificial pitches suitable for a variety of sports. 

The sporting precinct at the University is a continued investment to improve the student experience and to provide a vibrant regional sporting hub for all the community to access and enjoy.

Bookings and facility hire are available for the following:

• Casual bookings
  • one-off bookings for individuals or groups e.g. fixtures or events
• School term bookings
  • term-by-term hire of sports halls or grounds for schools
• Seasonal bookings
  • season or pre-season hire for sports clubs and associations

Indoor facilities for hire

A dedicated meeting room is also available within the Centre. It is set up by default in a boardroom layout for 12 people but can accommodate up to 40 attendees in a theatre-style arrangement with advance notice. The room is equipped with a data projector/TV screen, whiteboard, blackout capability, hybrid capture and streaming technology, hybrid meeting functionality, and a staff lectern.
