We're testing a new way of showing modules on the website
This list should give you a good idea of which modules you can take, however it may change before you begin your course, and may not show all available modules.
Module list
We are updating and modernising this course. From September 2020 existing modules will be restructured and harmonised to simplify the credit ratings, and new modules introduced.
Core modules Four 20 credit modules (total: 80 credits)
Semester 1: Introduction to Clinical Statistics, Epidemiology, Palliative Care: Foundations and Research
Semester 2: Research Methods
Optional modules There will now also be optional modules, although some of these may not be available for every intake. You will take one of these options to bring your taught credits up to 100.
Semester 2: Advanced Statistics or Ethnography in Healthcare Research and Improvement
Assuming you achieve good enough grades for the taught modules, you will progress to the Dissertation Module, giving a total of 180 credits for the Master of Public Health (Palliative Care Research) qualification.
The details of the new course and these modules will be updated on the website shortly. In the meantime, a more detailed description of the new course, and its modules, is available from the course administrator.
For technical reasons the modules displayed below are the modules for 2019 version of this course.
