How to apply for Professional Legal Practice (part time) PGDip
The Diploma in Legal Practice is the postgraduate stage required to qualify as a solicitor in Scotland. For the 2024/25 session, six providers (Universities) are offering the Diploma.
Each provider has its application process, and applicants can apply to up to two providers.
Application process
You will be able to select which of the two providers is your first choice. Providers are allowed to prioritise applicants who have selected them as a first choice.
Once you accept an offer, you will automatically reject any offers from other providers. You can’t accept more than one offer.
Places will be allocated through 3 rounds, with allocation of additional spaces if other applicants choose not to accept an offer.
