The LLM Law (General) offers a flexible and comprehensive legal education. It will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in law and beyond. You will have the opportunity to tailor your studies by choosing from a wide range of modules. This allows you to develop expertise in areas such as corporate and commercial law, environmental law, human rights, privacy, and international arbitration.

You may apply for and take part in internships to gain valuable practical experience. These include NGOs, law firms, and businesses. Previous students have secured prestigious internships with institutions such as the Council of the European Union, the European Court of Human Rights, and the UN. For some, these internships have led directly to full-time employment.

  • strong legal research and analytical skills
  • effective negotiation and advocacy skills
  • critical thinking and problem-solving
  • clear and persuasive communication

Graduates of the LLM Law (General) have pursued careers across the legal profession, including private practice, in-house counsel roles, government positions, and NGO work. Others have used their legal skills to secure roles in the commercial sector or have gone on to further study and academia.
