This course will improve your career prospects in the fields of psychology and child development, including educational psychology and clinical psychology. Several students have taken the course to move into jobs as support workers or advisers in educational or third-sector settings or to secure posts as assistant psychologists.

Other students use the research training to progress to PhD research.

This qualification will also help further your career if you are already working with children, for example as an educational practitioner or a speech and language therapist.

Sarah Guthrie
“I felt my course was incredibly well structured and organised. Replies from lecturers and supervisors were timely, and my supervisors were incredibly devoted to getting the best out of me. My own supervisor has continued to work with me to publish my dissertation which has been an incredible experience for my career development. Since graduating, I first began a third sector role as a Health and Wellbeing Practitioner and I am now a Psychology PhD Researcher, I would not have been accepted into my PhD course if it wasn't for the qualification and experience gained from my MSc at Dundee. Dundee has given me the chance to pursue my dream career - something a few years ago I would have never thought possible.”
