Libero Sandrini

Libero Sandrini holds a BSc in Geology and MSc in Engineering Geology from the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy) where he graduated in July 2019. During his thesis, he has worked develop an experimental apparatus to investigate the 1D injection of resins and other grouting fluids in a confined column of soil. The study was aimed to improve our understanding of permeation grouting. In May 2020, Libero started a PhD in geotechnical engineering under the supervision of Dr Matteo Ciantia. His research focuses on field tests and experimental studies of sustainable chemical grouting and novel anchoring systems as resilience enhancement measures in soft-rock geostructures.
