John Innes

VP for Business Innovation at SELEX ES/Finmeccanica, John is responsible for the identification and development of new business opportunities and markets for the business across defence, security, industrial and health sectors.

Educated at Napier University Edinburgh and University College London in Physics, Electronics and Systems Engineering, John is a Chartered Physicist and Chartered Engineer and has worked in sensor and sensor system development for over 30 years.

John is a visiting professor and honorary fellow at the University of Edinburgh, a Director of the SFC funded CENSIS Innovation Centre and a member of the Scottish Government’s Industry Leadership Group for Aerospace, Defence, Marine and Security.
